Recruitment

- it was agreed that recruitment of players at all levels over the summer was crucial to the club.

- each player has been asked to recruit ONE player each before the start of the season - there are 80 players in the squad at present if done properly this should lead to at least 30 to 40 new players registered for next season.

- as an incentive players will be paid £20 cashback in respect of any player they introduce to the club following the new player's first direct debit payment.  Cashback will be payable in a bar after a game only!

- recruitment is important for everyone to get involved with.

- the club is investigating the possible recruitment of two Fijian players to supplement the playing squad.  Those present agreed to this proposal.

- please forward contact details of new players to Darren.

recruitment will be a focus (see below) to increase the size of the playing squad;

- the club will endeavour to arrange 1st XV and 2nd XV fixtures at the same venue.  IE when the 1s play at home so will the 2s (whether that be at the school or Metchely Lane) and when the 1s have an away fixture, the 2s will play the corresponding fixture at the same away venue.  First and second team players will then be able to interact more regularly which will help the cohesion of the squad.

- second team players to be encouraged to attend training regularly, the Bear after games and to come on next season's tour.  (see below)
